I ran my 5k on Saturday. 2 1/2 days after being sent home because of hurting my back. I ran the whole thing. My back didn't hurt at all during or after. I woke up early and stretched to make sure it was loose and just made sure to keep moving so that I didn't have a chance to get tight. The grounds were pretty cool. They had blocked off a parking lot and setup camp. A couple local college teams were there. They were having an auciton for some different items - the best of which was two paintings done by penguins at the zoo. They had breakfast stuff there for before the fun and food and cookies for after. They were also doing chair massages and chiropractic screenings after. It was very fun. I was a little slower than I had wanted to be - but I will take my finish of 32:55. And if in a month I run another one like I want to, then I will try to beat that time. If I can do it by even 5 seconds, then I will be happy.
